Unit 22.2 Initial Ideas

1- This idea is to film myself, answering the question 'What locally has affected me the most?' I will begin the video unsure of the answer but the have a sudden realization that it is my friends, by doing this I hope the viewer will experience that same realization. I aim to show teenagers it is not where they live, but the people they live near that affect how they live their life's. I will want the audience to be primarily young adults as those are the people who often complain about the local environment, I am aware of this because I am one myself and have personal experience.

2- My second idea is to film shots of a local pathway through the woodlands near where I live. Shots will show the creatures on the path, scenary, and the ocassional shot of me walking the path. Music will be played to keep the viewer interested, I imagine I will pick a slow acoustic song to reflect what is being shown. This is to show off the local walkways in the national forest and to give the viewer a sense of peacefulness. Also hopefully some viewers will find themselves wanting to go on a walk similar to this to get the sense of relaxation this video will convey.

3- My third idea is to film areas local to me such as Conkers, Park, Ashby Castle etc. While filming I will there in the shot explaining why I am filming it; what connection it has with the locals and why it is important to me. Hopefully those that see the video will think about places near them and answer the same questions as me, I believe this will have more of a chance of happening if I film at places that are generic to my local community such as parks as such places are likely to be shared by the viewer as everyone has been to a park.

4- My fourth idea is to interview a worker at the local post office about the kind of people they meet, what sort of stories they hear.

Upon looking at my 4 initial ideas I decided my best idea is number 1 as I think it will be very interesting not only to myself but could be eye opening to others. Also the filming could be a bit challenging and I feel it would help my skills.
