1)
Emotions Control
Foolishly, misery runs.
Happiness is free.
The shots in this Haiku would be:
A- A person being overrun with sadness (crying uncontrollably) - this relates to the line as it shows the sadness dictating what the character is doing.
B- Wiping the tears away - This shows the character recovering from the sadness.
C- Smiling and laughing - This shows happiness.
I like this piece because it is progressive and tells a story that people can relate to.
2)
Music has power
Every note a new journey
Every song a dream
The shots in this Haiku would be:
A- A Shot of several musical instruments - the instruments relates to 'Music' and the number of instruments portrays 'power' because of the saying; strength in numbers.
B- Persons hand close up on fret board playing - This shows the notes the character is playing and how they can experiment on the fret board thus relates to 'note' and 'journey'.
C- Bright shot of someone going to bed smiling - Shows 'dream' and portrays happiness because of this.
I like this this because it shows the effects music can have on a person; they can go to sleep smiling because of it.
3)
Life is just a quest.
Every stage will challenge you.
But you cannot lose. (Written by Andy Buchanan)
The shots in this Haiku would be:
A- A person drawing a toy sword out and lifting it up - Draws on the medieval knights going on quests such as the tale of Arthur pulling the sword out of the stone.
B- The same pose as A ended on but onstage with the camera panning around them - Turns the story into a stage play which is typical of stories.
C- Still camera of person onstage bowing - The character has completed the show and has now won the stage over.
Developing Ideas:
I have chosen to further my second idea;
Music has power
Every note a new journey
Every song a dream
I have chosen this because it is simple to film, and the key words can be highlighted in the video in such a way that the audience can see what I am portraying. I will film this
